چکیده
The current study investigates a cogeneration cycle of power and freshwater integrated with solar system. system is the heliostat type, which considered to preheat inlet air in combustion chamber 25-MW gas turbine. waste heat turbine output stream used produce freshwater. Parameters such as ambient temperature irradiance significantly affect system’s performance; hence, all analyses, including those pertaining energy, exergy, economics, environment, were conducted transiently, one-hour time step throughout year so that impacts these effective parameters could be examined. Besides analysis assuming constant mass flow rate for entering compressor, calculations repeated assumption volumetric evaluate same conditions natural plants. Given rate, every 10-degree increase temperature, compressor consumption decreased by approximately 2%. Moreover, sensitivity performance terms was performed, corresponding results are presented. Finally, some correlations presented estimate variations net due variations. demonstrate Bushehr, Iran, one-degree leads an 0.67 percentage decrease net-generated power. In end, investigated under climatic irradiation intensities several cities Iran different countries plants have already been established. obtained compared; it concluded lowest annual cost electricity generation related Isfahan reduces more than 20% (2.32 Cents/kWh) compared base cycle.

Performance analysis a gas turbine cycle equipped with a double acting type stirling engine in a power generating unit
The aim of this study is to investigate the performance of a gas turbine cycle equipped with a Stirling engine from the thermodynamic point of view. In this system, part of the heat loss from the gas turbine is transmitted to a Stirling engine to generate more power. In the proposed system analysis, the governing equations of the hybrid cycle are modeled in MATLAB software and Schmidt and ideal...
متن کامل4E analysis and multi-objective optimization of gas turbine CCHP plant with variable ambient temperature
In this paper a gas turbine power plant including air preheater (recuperator), heat recovery steam generator and air cooler system was modeled. Eight parameters were selected as the design variables. Fast and elitist non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) was applied (to maximize the exergy efficiency and to minimize the total cost rate) for the mentioned cogeneration system. Th...

متن کاملAnalysis of a Regenerative Gas Turbine Cycle for Performance Evaluation
The effect of a regenerative heat exchanger in a gas turbine is analyzed using a regenerative Brayton cycle model, where all fluid friction losses in the compressor is quantified by an isentropic efficiency term and all global irreversibilities in the heat exchanger are taken into account by means of an effective efficiency. This analysis, which generalizes that reported by Gordon and Huleihil ...
